Natalie Pryce

Natalie Pryce are a Glasgow based band that channel a fascination with the roots of jazz, blues and punk into their own unique, narrative, song-writing. Their artistic and cinematic take on garage rock has received many accolades and attention from the media, being called “gloriously dark listening” by radio presenter and journalist, Jim Gellatly. Their début album; ‘Natalie Pryce… And Other Tales’ was noted by Elaine O’Connor (the Scotsman) as having “purpose and drive wrought into every heartwrenching note”. The album was recorded in a single take, all completely in analogue marking and incredible feat from a band capable of great things. Frontman, Mark Swan has been compared to Nick Cave, David Byrne and Tom Waits. Iain Dawson (Ravechild.com) noted “Swan’s delivery is so powerful that even if you cannot follow his tales about life, death, love and sorrow you still get dragged in by the passion of his delivery”. Natalie Pryce live shows are known for their electrifying energy and spectacle. Using specially designed lighting and always performing in black suits the band craft an immersive and intense atmosphere. They play with passion and precision throwing everything they have into the delivery of the songs.
