Nancy Ska Jazz Orchestra

We can say that the Nancy Skankin'Jazz Orchestra is the first Big Band to explore the style Ska-Jazz in France. This training is born from a common passion for the rhythmic jamaican 60's and the richness of the sound of the Big Band swing years. The NSJO brings together the best and brightest of musicians of ska and jazz from the region of Lorraine following formations already well established, such as The Casa Wobbly, Magic Dub Skatolog All Stars, the Tut and the Great Jazz of the rue Sigisbert or Maria Godsinger Devil Quartet. The repertoire of the Big Band is based on both original compositions as arrangements of the great names in the ska and jazz : Herbie Hancock, The Skatalites, Stan Kenton, Toots and the Maytals... The participation of the young and talented Maria Godsinger the song brings to the whole a vocal presence more than refreshing.
