Blues singer and guitarist, born Palmetto, Louisiana, 1924, died Detroit, Michigan, 27 July 1982. He first recorded for Checker in Chicago, Illinois, in 1952 and 1953, followed by sessions for United in 1954 (unissued at the time), Vee-Jay in 1955, Abco in 1956, Atomic H in c. 1960, and K-Town in 1969 (all later sessions in Chicago as well).
