The Mini Pop Kids is a Canadian counterpart of the American kid group Kidz Bop Kids, first formed as the Mini-Pops, originated from the United Kingdom which released several albums spanning the years 1982 to 1990, but the however business owner and tycoon of Budget-Friendly Music Company K-Tel John Kives who imported the Minipops from the British Isles but spun had a popularity of over 2 million Canadian children the original band was abandoned by mid-1989 due to lack of manpower regarding the management from the group and downfall of sales, in 2004 K-Tel relaunched the concept as Mini Pop Kids and geographically released only in Canada, in the current the group released 18 albums and marked the peak on 8 million album sales domestically in Canada and 50 million streams worldwide as of 2022 making the Number One Canada's Best Selling Children's Group. In 2023, the group relaunched as a tour-only show than releasing numerous albums which they stopped in 2020. As of 2023, there are 92 regular members and 2 guest stars in this group.
