Mezzrow

Mezzrow from Nyköping, Sweden recorded two demotapes (Frozen Soul and Cross of Tormention) before they got in contact with Active Records. In 1990 they released their first full length-release "Then came the killing" and it is still today considered as one of the best thrash metal releases from Sweden and Scandinavia. Mezzrow recorded another demo in 1991 before disbanding. During their early days Mezzrow gigged with all important swedish bands at the time like Candlemass, Entombed, Midas Touch, Hexenhaus, Kazjurol, Fallen Angel and Meshuggah to name a few. In late 2006 Mezzrow reunited for a special show, which was filmed and released as part of a double DVD, titled "Then Came The Video", It was made available only from the band, this DVD set put together by the band with some old photos, demos, videos, liveconcerts, articles and fanzines. 2021 MEZZROW rose from the ashes, when bass player Conny Welén (ex- Hexenhaus) and singer Uffe Pettersson (ex-Rosicrucian) decided to make a new mark in the thrash metal world of today and together with new guitarists Magnus Söderman (Nightrage) and Ronnie Björnström (ex-Defiatory, ex-Aeon) wrote some new killer songs, which have pure thrash metal top-class written all over them. The line-up is now completed by excellent drummer Alvaro Svanerö (Imperial Domain). April 21st 2023 MEZZROW released their second album ”Summon thy Demons” on Fireflash Records, a subsidiary of Atomic Fire Records. The release has been a huge success with excellent reviews and the Swedish hard rock magazine Sweden Rock even made it album of the month. 2 videos and 2 lyric videos were released for the album and were followed by gigs in Sweden, Germany and Slovenia. At the Keep It True Festival the band recorded and released a live album on vinyl (limited to 300 copies).
