Mel Carter

American Soul, Pop singer, actor (born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 22, 1943). Discovered by Quincy Jones and signed him at [l=Mercury]. He had his first hit in 1963, with the Sam Cooke's co-penned "When a Boy Falls in Love". In the mid 60's he reached his commercial peak with "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" at [l=Imperial].
