This Slovak eurodance duo was founded in March 1995 by renegades from the Slovak group Maduar, composer and singer Erik Aresta and singer Barbara Haščáková. That same year, Erik and Barbara signed a three-album contract with Polygram to release their first single single I'm Free, soon followed by U Can't Stop and the album of the same name that became the best seller across Europe.

In March 1996, MC Erik & Barbara released the single "Save the Jungle", accompanied by a videoclip in a sci-fi environment. In August they had a great success with the re-recording of "U Can't Stop " in Germany, Belgium, Finland and Switzerland. In the same year the group are organizing a large tour of Europe.

In 1997, Erik and Barbaro booked a huge success in Japan, and recorded the singles: "U Can't Stop ", "Summer Nights '95", "When Love Comes", "Save the Jungle", "Anjel II", "It's Your Day", "Dancing Queen", "Never Gonna", and "Sen".

Since 1998, Erika and Barbara have each their own solo project.

In 2010, Erik and Barbara released a new CD titled "2010", containing fourteen songs - seven newly recorded greatest hits, five new tracks and two remixes.
