Swedish musician, songwriter and poet, born January 8, 1969 in Boden. He is a guitarist and singer in the indie rock band The Bear Quartet, which debuted on record in 1992, the same year his first collection of poems, Separated Eggs, was published. His Swedish-language orchestra Mattias Alkberg BD achieved success in 2004 when their first album was released. In the early 1980s, Alkberg played drums in the hardcore band Joon Erektion. Alkberg has published five poetry collections. He received an award from the Swedish Academy in 2004.
