Massimo Tagliata

Accordionist, pianist, keyboardist and flautist born 29 May 1973 in Syracuse, Italy. Tagliata's interest in music began early and at age 13, worked at SIAE examining and transcribing compositions. During his adolescence, he collaborated with various orchestras as a composer and musician and cultivated his interest in studying the piano. At age 15, his interests further deepened into Argentine tango as he collaborated with [b]Marco Fabbri[/b] and the duo participated in various festivals and competitions with Tagliata playing the accordion and Fabbri, the bandoneon. In the years to follow, his interest in Latin music and jazz intensify and he moves to Bologna in 1998. There, he undertakes major collaborations with musicians [b]Teo Ciavarella[/b], [a=Felice Del Gaudio] and the group [a=Banda Favela], with whom he tours with in Europe and Japan. He continues to record with numerous artists which include [a=Fabio Grandi], [a=Antonio Marangolo], [a=Alfio Antico], [b]Flavio Piscopo[/b], [b]Massimo de Stephanis[/b] and [b]Rita Botto[/b]. As a composer and arranger, he has worked in collaboration with [b]Marco Fabbri[/b] and [b]William Dolorati[/b]. Massimo Tagliata is also a member of the group [b]Marea[/b].
