Bulgarian band including: Maria Mutaftchieva (vocals), Miroslav Mutaftchiev (guitar), Iliyan Georgiev (keyboards), Ivan Dimov (drums) and Ivan Ivanov. Mary Boys Band was established in early 1994 by Maria Mutafchieva (vocal), Ilian Georgiev (keyboards) and Miroslav Mutafchiev (guitar). The band began playing at nightclubs for live music in Sofia. In August 1994, Mary Boys Band won the competition for young performers of the Bulgarian National Television Show "Hit Minus One". As a reward, the musicians recorded their first author's song "Where the Wind Escaped". In the autumn of 1994, Mary Boys Band makes her first tour around the country. In January 1995, the bassist and drummer join the trio. The musicians consider the group's birthday January 28, 1995, when they first played live as a formation of five people at the Country Club in Sofia. By the end of 1995, Mary Boys Band has recorded two of her own songs by ordering the Bulgarian National Radio - "Flight Experience" and the first version of "Let's Overtake the Birds". In 1997, Mary Boys Band, at the invitation of German producers, recorded with a symphony orchestra at the First Studio of the Bulgarian National Radio classical rock songs by Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Participation in the club and concert scenes of Bulgaria, as well as in TV musical programs. In 2001 the band's first album, "Unknown Streets," was released. It includes ten songs recorded in the period 1999 - 2001. In the following years, the musicians continue to play in clubs as well as in concerts. They also act as studio musicians in projects by Belgian and English composers. The album "For You Only" is officially released on the Bulgarian music market in October 2004. It was recorded in the period 2003-2004 and includes 10 tracks, plus two bonus tracks - English versions of two of the songs. In December 2004, Mary Boys Band produces in Belgium the album "Distant Streets - compilation", which includes English versions of songs from the albums "Unknown streets" and "Only for you". In January 2005, Mary Boys Band recorded in Belgium, along with a gospel choir from Brussels, the song "Running Over". The song goes to compilations with Belgian artists. In early 2006. Mary Boys Band publishes on the music market in Bulgaria a DVD with the concert-promotion of the album "Only for you". In 2008, the song "Unknown Streets" enters the music book for the seventh grade of the publisher "Prosveta". On December 17, 2010, Mary Boys Band released her fourth studio album, "The Long Way to the Home". On November 28, 2011, Mary Boys Band performs an acoustic concert at the First Studio of the Bulgarian National Radio, which is recorded and filmed on a video. Released are: Mary Boys Band Acoustic CD and Mary Boys Band Acoustic Live DVD. On May 30, 2012, the band released the album "Unknown Streets 2012" on the music market. It includes 12 tracks - overwritten versions of the cult songs from more than ten years ago, as well as the unreleased "Experience of Flying", "When Sleep Sleep" and an instrumental version of her biggest hit "Unknown Streets". In October of the same year, Mary started an annual National Poetry Competition for students from the 7th to 12th grade with this name.
