Mark Alburger (b. 1957) is an American post-minimal composer and music educator at Diablo Valley College, founder and music director of San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra and The Opus Project, music director and resident composer at Goat Hall Productions/San Francisco Cabaret Opera, and editor-publisher of the 21st-Century Music Journal. He studied composition with Gerald Levinson at Diablo Valley College, Christopher Yavelow at Claremont Graduate University and Terry Riley. Alburger composed over 240 major works, including chamber music, concertos, oratorios, operas, song cycles and symphonies.
