Dutch-Swedish singer, born Jacoba Maria Riemvis, 1936 in The Hague (Den Haag). Maria Dieke moved to Sweden with her first husband in 1954. She was discovered at the Grand Hotell in Falun and got to sing on the radio program 'Frukostklubben'. Her appearace led to being signed by [a320176] to Karusell. She also recorded in Dutch as [b]Maria Dieke[/b], and had a German career under the name [b]Ria Solar[/b].
