Marcelo Rod-Che, also known as "RodChe" and "el Doctor De La Salsa," is a primarily musical alias of Puerto Rican salsa vocalist, percussionist, songwriter, and band leader Angel Marcelo Rodriguez-Cheverez (b. 1949), father of renowned musician Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (b. 1975) and his brothers [url=https://discogs.com/artist/2434252]Marfred[/url], [url=https://discogs.com/artist/408661]Marcel[/url], and Rikardo Rodriguez Lopez. In 1994, Rod-Che released his debut CD album, Y No Cambiaria Nada, on VGR Records based in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He also contributed percussion to the 1998 album In/Casino/Out by At The Drive-In, a critically acclaimed band co-founded by his eldest son, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. Marcelo continues to occasionally perform with his live band Rod-Che y Mas Friends.
