    French pianist (Lille, 22 May 1897 - Paris, 17 November 1958).


    Marcelle Meyer was the favoured pianist of Le Groupe Des Six, with whom she often worked together. She also worked closely with Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, Francis Poulenc, Darius Milhaud, Igor Stravinsky, among others. She premiered lots of works by composers active in France during the interbellum.
    She was one of the pioneers in the rediscovery of the works by now famous baroque composers, such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Jean-Philippe Rameau, François Couperin and Domenico Scarlatti.
