Main One

Ramon Rivera, better known under his stage name Main One, is a rapper of latin descent from The Bronx, NY. He got his first break in 1993 on Kaos' 2nd album "International Dope Dealers (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)". One year later, he released the single "Learn 2 Be A Man 4 Self" through Select Street Records, which gave him some recognition with the help of Buckwild, who produced the record. In 1995, Main One released what would be his only full length album, still on Select records, entitled "Birth Of The Ghetto Child". This album was not critically acclaimed despite the tight production work of Buckwild, Domingo or Ski among others & the featurings of Fat Joe, Kurious or Red Hot Lover Tone. Ok, it overshadowed Main One a little but the ghetto child did a good job on this... 2 singles were released "Learn 2 Be A Man" & "Check da Skillz". Then Main One recorded several 12" from 1996 to 2003, collaborating with O.C., Cella Dwellas or producer Nick Wiz. Don't know if he's still into rap music...
