Macifecation

The nucleus of the group came together in 1989 in Ingersoll, Ontario as Desecration and put out a demo the same year called Ignorance Is No Excuse. With the arrival of guitarist Randy Harris in 1991, they changed their name to Macifecation and played the Ontario and Quebec circuit. On the strength of 'Shrine Of The Mortalitites' the band were receiving inquiries from interested labels but shortly after their appearance at the 1993 Toronto Death Metal Fest, bassist/vocalist John Winter and guitarist Ryan Gamsby were killed in an automobile accident and the band ceased to exist.
