Electronic duo based in Bergen, Norway embracing analog synths like Moog and effect units. Consist of Maria Skranes and Marte Eberson. Machine Birds emerged out of University of Bergen where both studied Jazz. They broke through after being selected as one of the contestants of 2011 finalist in Urørt (Untouched), a website promoting unsigned artist. This led to supported airplay on radio with their song "One Last Try" They came second in the finals, a strong effort for an underdog genre of ambient electronica. The project was disbanded in 2013.
