MPeople is an English dance band, formed in 1990 in Manchester. According to Billboard, MPeople is the 83rd most successful dance act of all time. The "M" in "M People" is taken from the group founder's name, Mike Pickering. MPeople won the 1994 & 1995 BRIT Music Award for the "Best British Dance Act".
