Lourenço & Lourival

Born in Ribeirão Preto, the brothers Arlindo (Lourenço) and Antônio (Lourival) had a humble childhood. Children of farmers, worked in the fields from small but have dreamed of artistic life. In his spare time, imagination transformed the hoes in violas and old cans in microphones. At 14 they began to sing on Radio 79, in Ribeirão Preto, in the "Festinha na Roça", of Compadre Barbosa, dual component Barreiro & Barroso. At 15 he moved to São Paulo, where he began working in Radio America. They were hired by Continental label, even with the Chantecler seal, where they recorded two discs of 78 rpm and later their 1st LP. A short time later went to Radio Bandeirantes, in the Saw of Mantiqueira program and, soon after, to National Radio, which had as co-workers names like Tião Carreiro & Pardinho, Abel & Cain, Joe Fortuna, among others. In 74 were working in the Country Line Class A program on Radio Record, along with Zé Bétio & José Russo, where they remained for 16 years. There received the affectionate title of "as vozes de cristal" Launched over 30 LPs by Chantecler record, currently work remastered and available on CDs, and 15 titles by RGE label. Contracted since 2004 by Label Alegreto, launched over three CDs and some DVDs in partnership with other doubles. Project 1 of the double DVD is already underway and soon fans can check out this new job. Dear and respected by fans from all over Brazil and even abroad such as United States, Japan and Mercosur, do not stop traveling, keeping alive the true Brazilian roots music. The little free dual time is devoted to their families and other parallel activities in his hometown, where are keen to remain cultivating its roots. In recognition of this work, it was presented in 1997 with the title "Cidadãos Ribeirãopretanos".
