Geordie folk singer and English concertina player. One of the founders of the Bridge Folk Club, in Newcastle upon Tyne. Moved to America in 1967 during which time he joined The Clancy Brothers from 1971 to 1974, recording 4 albums with them. In 1974 he resumed his solo career, also performing briefly with his then wife Sally Killen. He moved back to the UK in 2003, returning to Gateshead.
Having first lived as a transgender person while based in the US in the 1990s, he changed name and gender from Louis Killen to Louisa Jo Killen in 2010.
