Los Tekis

Los Tekis ("boys" in Quechua) is a folklore group from the Jujuy province of Argentina. It is formed by [a9313996] (vocals, quena and charango), Juanjo Pestoni (drums), [a9312841] (wind and backing vocals), Pipo Valdez (winds and charango), Walter Sader (guitars) and Pucho Ponce (bass). Even though they have been together for a long time, their appearance on the Festival de la Serenata de Cafayate (1991) is generally considered their debut as a group. Their repertoire consists of music styles from the northeast of Argentina and Bolivia, such the carnavalito and taquiraris, which they play on various traditional instruments.
