    In 1974 a distinguish group of jingles singers decided to join their efforts to create a vocal group to impulse the venezuelan folk songbook. The first formation included Ofelinda García, [a=Gonzalo Peña], Fanny Barrios, Germán Freytes, Zenaida Riera, [a=Alí Agüero], Otilia Rodríguez and José Ramón Angarita. Later some integrants left the group and were substituited by [a=Carlos Morean], Maricruz Quintero, Edgar Salazar, Carlos Landáez, Ilba Rojas, [a=José Sifontes], Meiber acuña, and recently [a=Daniel Somaroo].

    Los Cuñaos have shared stage with Maria Teresa Chacin and Roberto Carlos, also they have toured by Chile, Puerto Rico, EEUU and México.
