    Loquillo Y Trogloditas

Rock 'n' roll, pop rock band from Barcelona, Spain.

When Loquillo was drafted for enforced conscription, his first band Los Intocables dissolved. The only remaining member of Los Intocables was Sabino Méndez, and he formed a new band called Los Trogloditas alongside Jordi Vila, Josep Simón and Ricard Puigdomenech. When Loquillo came back, the new band was known as Loquillo Y Trogloditas.

After their debut album [m577504] (1983) was met with a very positive response by the public, Loquillo Y Trogloditas would go on to become one of the most famous Spanish bands of the 1980's, with 11 studio and 3 live albums released over their entire career. Their 1989 album [m444554] surpassed 300.000 sales in the first weeks of its release, and it remained for 5 months of that year among the ten best-selling albums in Spain, peaking at #3 in August.

The band would dissolve in 2007 after one last show on the 30th of June in which they were the supporting band of The Rolling Stones.
