Lionel Rocheman is a musician, singer, storyteller, actor, writer, producer, and entertainer.
In 1964, he began studying musicology under the direction of Jacques Chailley and Edith Weber. He founded and animates for nearly twelve years the "Hootenanny" at the American Center in Montparnasse. This is the starting point of the folk current in France.
