Brazilian singer, composer and instrumentalist, born in Santa Helena de Goiás (Rio Verde), Goiás, Brazil, January 21, 1940. He recorded 27 albums and was considered the "King of Bolero". On March 30, 1981, at Café Belle Époque in São Paulo, he shot and killed his ex-wife, Eliane De Grammont, and attempted to kill his own cousin, Carlos Randall, then her boyfriend. He was caught red-handed and sentenced to 12 years and 2 months in prison.
