Portland duo Danielle Davis and Steven Whiteley formed Liila during a shared tenure at a Zen Buddhist monastery. Soundness Of Mind, their debut album, was conceived on synthesizers, samplers, and laptops in “forgotten corners of the monastic grounds”.
