Future Jazz / Nu Jazz project from Augsburg, Germany. Founded by DJ & drummer Marc A. Frank with singer & pianist C. Jochen Helfert.
Jochen had been playing Rhodes in a Brazil-jazz combo with Les Gammas' live bassist Pe Spier (P. E. Spier), where he was developing his own ideas of harmonics and sound.
In 1999 Les Gammas played live in clubs and at festivals including Fez Jazz Festival in Bari, Italy, the Wiesen Festival in Austria, and Jazz 2010 in Aarhus, Denmark.
Les Gammas have since split to focus on different projects.
