Lejaren Hiller (b. 1924-02-23 in New York City; d. 1994-01-26 in Buffalo/New York) was an American composer, founder of University Of Illinois Experimental Music Studios in 1958. Hiller's notable pupils included composers James Fulkerson, Larry Lake, Ilza Nogueira, David Rosenboom, Bernadette Speach and James Tenney.
