UK vocalist who began his formal music training at Trinity School of Music where he studied pianoforte, later concentrating his focus on voice. Along with his contributions to various Gospel and secular studio recordings as both a solist and backing vocalist, performing with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Pet Shop Boys, Mike Oldfield, Dina Carroll, and Clive Griffin, Paul has also performed on many TV, radio and live projects.
In 1979, he was aked by the Gospel group Paradise to provide backing vocals for Andraé Crouch during his appearance at Wembley Arena. Following that, and for 15 years, he performed as a member of the The London Adventist Chorale. Singing with the choir helped to develop and broaden Paul’s vocal skills and appreciation for many styles of music.
In 1992 Paul experienced a breakthrough in his career when he was commissioned as a vocal director on Emilio Aragon’s Sony Records release, followed by three more with Paul Johnson, Rick Astley and Gwen Dickey. With his increased involvement in music, Paul toured the UK, Zimbabwe, USA, Guadeloupe, France, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Sweden with artists and groups including Gloria Gaynor, Paul Young, Kenny Thomas, Paul Johnson, London Community Gospel Choir and the London Adventist Chorale, for which Paul produced their first album.
Paul went on to become the resident backing vocalist on the Gospel TV series “People Get Ready”, commissioned by Channel 4 Television which provided him the opportunity to work with established Gospel artists and other TV appearances such as BBC's "Songs of Praise".
In 1994 Paul was approached to participate in the compilation album Soul Stirrings for [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/Island+Records]Island Records and immediately following that year, Paul was nominated for Best Male Solo Vocalist Award 1995 BGHMAN, London.
He collaborated with Ken Burton and the Croydon Gospel Choir and released the Gospel album, The Very Best Of Gospel for HMV. Also, during that time he sang with the traditional male quartet Covenant as well as contemporary quartet Kinsman.
In 1999 Lee released his debut solo Gospel album Lilies Of The Field under his own label LittleFellow Records in conjunction with [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/Alliance+Music]Alliance Music and FAR Records. Since then, Paul has gone on to record and perform with other UK Gospel artists and groups which include Graham Kendrick, Mark Beswick, PowerPraise, Kingdom Choir, Noel Robinson, Nu Image Choir, Muyiwa, Riversongz, Lawrence Johnson's One Voice Project, and The Croydon SDA Gospel Choir. Most recently he has been working closely with BBC’s "Songs of Praise" whilst managing the London Adventist Chorale and Nicky Brown on various projects.
In 2002, he sang in a classical performance and recording for the Queen's Golden Jubilee from Buckingham Palace, and then again singing spirituals for the Princess Royal in the Palace with the group Covenant.
In 2003, Paul released his second album It Is Well, while working with Ken Burton on various projects and the Adventist Vocal Ensemble who have recorded for "Songs of Praise".
Since that time, Paul has been busy managing in various areas of church and gospel music, and now focuses on arranging, conducting, leading choirs, corporate workshops, and speaking engagements and is a member of the quartet Teserra.
