Lee Dresser was born on May 22, 1941, in Washington, D.C., where his Dad was a government lawyer, and his Mom a professional ballerina. After the death of his parents in the early fifties, Lee went to live with his maternal grandparents in Moberly. Lee bought his first guitar when he was fourteen, and taught himself how to play in open tuning, learned how to sing about eight songs, and the next thing he knew, the The Krazy Kats were born with his friends Willie Craig and Freddy Fletcher. They were together for 57 years (the same 3 guys).
