    American blues musician who sang and played the harmonica and guitar.

    Born: June 20, 1933 in Torras, Louisiana
    Died: August 22, 2018 in Paradise, California

    In a career spanning from the 1950s to 2018, he pioneered swamp blues, and also played harmonica blues, rhythm and blues and Louisiana blues. Lazy made records for Excello in J.D. Miller's studio in Crowley, LA, from 1956 to 1967. He also frequently accompanied other Louisiana blues artists, including Slim Harpo, Lightning Slim, and Katie Webster. By the late 1960s, he had given up on the music industry, working manual labor and pursuing his favorite hobby - fishing. He had a successful comeback in the late 1980s and made albums for Blue Horizon, Alligator Records, and Antone's Records, among others.
