Born on January 13th 1996, Lauren Sanderson is an American singer, songwriter and rapper from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She first gained fame via her YouTube and Soundcloud after covering songs by famous artists. In 2016 she released her debut EP, Center of Expression. For unknown reasons, the EP is no longer available on most streaming platforms or to purchase, but 5 out of the 6 songs can still be found on her Soundcloud account. In 2017, she released her sophomore EP, Spaces and eventually signed a deal with Epic Records. While signed to Epic, she released another version of her single Written in the Stars that featured PnB Rock, and also released her next two EPs, DONT PANIC! and DONT PANIC! (Acoustic). However, in 2019, Lauren left Epic Records and began to release her music independently, including her next single Hasta La Vista, containing three tracks. In the summer of 2019 she opened for Chase Atlantic on their Phases tour. On September 24th, she released the first single off of her debut album, Hotel Room. Afterwards, she opened for FINNEAS on his Blood Harmony tour in October. On November 5th she released Upset, the next single from her debut album and then released the third single To the People I Hurt on December 17th. Lauren's debut album Midwest Kids Can Make It Big was released in 2020 on her birthday, January 13th. Later on in the year, she announced a deluxe version of the album and released one of the songs, Internet, on June 16th, followed by Frustrated on August 14th. The deluxe edition of her album was released on August 21st, 2020. In 2021, Lauren will be going on her Midwest Kids Can Make It Big tour, which was postponed from 2020 due to COVID-19.
