[b]Laterna[/b] is a Polish free-improv band, founded by [a=Ryszard Latecki] in the mid-2000s to discover new areas of contemporary acoustic music. Their improvisations, influenced by post-jazz, post-psychedelic and ethnic elements, are rooted in the libertarian spirit of the late sixties and seventies. In 2005, Laterna presented an eponymous debut album. It was recorded at the [l=Rogalów Analogowy] studio on the vintage tube equipment and released as a limited edition LP by [l=OBUH Records]. The second 2xCD album was released by OBUH four years later. Two tracks, [i]Brzeszczot Lateckiego[/i] and [i]Wariacje Z Brzytwą[/i], are dedicated to [a=Steve Reich].
