    Laputa was a Japanese rock band, that belonged to the nagoya kei branch of the visual kei scene. They were active from 1993 to 2004. Their music was quite diverse, incorporating elements of goth rock, post-punk and alternative rock and on their later releases they turned towards a more electronic based sound.
