Lamia

Argentina's Lamia emerged from a band called Nyx that comprised [a=Juan Andrés Celasco], [a=Maximiliano Schneider] and [a=Lucio Moschella], and which performed from early 1994 to late 2000 in the underground scene of Buenos Aires. At the beginning of 2001, the band was rechristened Lamia and Celasco began a new musical approach, merging electronics with medievalisms. In 2002, vocalist [a=Claudia "Caly" Rolando] joined the group and they were signed to Twilight Records for their debut album: Dark Angel. After Claudia Rolando's addition to the line-up, Maximiliano and Lucio left the band, while she herself left in 2005 and was replaced by Cecilia Marchesotti (soprano) and Daniel Pomba (tenor).
