Grier played live & recorded with Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys from 1965-1967, and also played and recorded with Hazel Dickens And Alice Gerrard, Peter Rowan and [a=Tex Logan]. In the 1970s he was a member of [a=Buzz Busby]'s band and recorded several albums with him. He retired from music in 1984.
