Laberinto was founded in 1989 in Caracas, Venezuela as a metal/hardcore band and gained national popularity in a short time. In 1991, in search of their musical identity, the band began experimenting with the musical roots of Latin America and combining Spanish and English lyrics. Wanting to expand their borders even more, they decided to seek new challenges in Europe, with Amsterdam as their base. In The Netherlands their further developed their unique style and sound, which became known as Metal-latino. Between 1995 and 2012 Laberinto released a total of one EP, seven full length albums and a compilation album.
