Founding member Brian Duke passed away on 6 June 2001, in the midst of recording the band's debut album. In 2014 the core members of the band founded their own label, [l=Retro Futurist].

On 28 April 2016 the band announced an indefinite hiatus that lasted until 20 August 2024, when their return was communicated via social media.
