Kung Tung

Swedish progg blues rock band from Kalmar, formed in 1974 by Mikael Svanevik (drums), Per "Pelle" Magnusson (bass), Anders Helmerson (electric piano), Thomas Stålberg (guitar) and Peter Bryngelsson (guitar). The band debuted with a number of scandalous concerts that with lyrics, music and dramatized elements gave satirical raw soups to both the establishment and parts of the left movement. As "literary snapshots", the lyrics portrayed the spirit of the times. Sometimes about society, other times about the individual human destiny. The members who toured and made records were Thomas Stålberg, guitar and vocals, Bo Stefan Lundquist, vocals and recitation, Peter Bryngelsson, guitar, Ulf Bejerstrand, bass and Thomas Wiegert, drums. Kung Tung has re-emerged as an active band in 2013.
