Kool Vibe
Producer & owner of [l=KV Records (2)] established in Paris. Record collector since 1993, marked & inspired for life by the golden era of house music (1990-95). Definitely part of the new Deep House music scene that is emerging from France at the moment, Laurent, aka Kool Vibe, was born in Paris. Thanks to his father's large vinyl collection, he grew up surrounded by all kinds of music but definitely had a crush on American black music (soul, funk, r'n'b, disco). During the 90s, his addiction to the Garage and Deep House clubs of the French capital, notably Le Queen and the Kit Kat after parties, and his passion for the NYC and New Jersey sounds encouraged him to start his record collection. In 2005, he threw himself into music production. Kool Vibe's music today reflects the best of the 90s House Music sound that he manages to capture so well. In 2011 and 2012, his first releases have been cult tracks out on [l=My Love Is Underground] and [l=Traxx Underground]. In March 2013, he launched his very own label [l=KV Records (2)], which therefore contributes to revive that US deeply-rooted sound from the 90s releasing on vinyl only.
