Klas Burling

Swedish radio and TV journalist, and presenter, born on February 15, 1941 in Uppsala domkyrkoförsamling, Uppsala, Uppland and died on February 19, 2023 in Hedvig Eleonora, Stockholm, Uppland.

Burling, a key presenter of popular music to a broader audience in Sweden, is also associated with The Beatles' introduction on [a2470241] back in 1963 when the group was lured to Stockholm to perform in an episode of the TV program Drop In, which was broadcast from 'Arenateatern' (the Arena Theater) at Gröna Lund. [a4453057] hosted that show and with Burling as its producer.

From 1992 and until his death in 2023, he was married to the internationally renowned pan flutist Dana Dragomir, and together they had a daughter, Alexandra Burling (born in 1994).
