King Kooba are the duo of Charlie Tate and DJ Shuff (aka Matt Harris). The diversity of their 'future funk' sound is a reflection of the background's of the two artists. Charlie's was co-founder and bassist in the seminal funk outfit "The Big Cheese Allstars" and has worked extensively as a bassist for the likes of Neneh Cherry, Howie B etc. Matt's background is DJing/promoting and he has worked for many years throughout the UK and Europe.
