Puerto Rican salsero. Kim de los Santos was born in New York. Inspired by the sound of the Gran Combo, he arrives in Puerto Rico at a time when salsa was at its best. Working together with greats of the movement such as Héctor Lavoe, Papo Lucca and Jorge Millet, made Kim an artist of great skill. 1983 is one of the most important years in the career of Kim de Los Santos, it is the year in which he catapulted as a resounding success in South America, especially in Colombia the song, 'El Tomatero', a composition by Tite Curet Alonso. Other of his great successes are: 'Dichoso Soy', 'Romance De Paso' and 'Hace Un Mes'. In 2007, Kim joined the Black Sugar Sextet project conducted by veteran pianist Lucho Cueto, recording the song “Pa Colombia Entera” on the album “Somos Azúcar”.
