American bluegrass & old-time country / folk singer, songwriter, banjo & guitar player. Was a member of the Arkansas Shieks, Any Old Time String Band and Blue Flame Stringband, before forming the duo Jody Stecher & Kate Brislin. Now retired from touring.
Born in Ohio, but spent most of her early life in the San Francisco / Bay Area in California before moving east for a number of years, before returning to San Francisco in 1971.
