    Karl Haas

    (December 6, 1913 – February 6, 2005) German-American classical music radio host. Not to be confused with the conductor and musicologist Karl Haas. He originated the radio program, Adventures In Good Music on WJR Detroit in 1959. The program, which ran from 1959 to 2007, was eventually syndicated to commercial and public radio stations around the world. Adventures In Good Music aired nationally in the USA beginning in 1970. Dr. Haas was also a respected musicologist, author, lecturer, pianist, and conductor. He was inducted into the Radio Hall Of Fame in 1997.
