She is the daughter of Ole H. Bremnes, sister of Ola Bremnes and Lars Bremnes

She has released a large number of albums, partly herself, partly together with her brothers or other partners. The music spans folk music, pop, rock, jazz and hymns. Some of the texts, to both her and her brothers, are written by the father Ole H. Bremnes from Kvæfjorden.
