Mother of composer Steve Reich, from her first marriage with Leonard Reich.
Mother of the authors David Carroll and Jonathan Carroll from her second marriage with Broadway screenwriter Sidney Carroll.
Appeared in the Broadway musical "New Faces" of 1952, singing the Murray Grand standard, "Guess Who I Saw Today", as well as two songs that she also wrote "Penny Candy" and "Love Is A Simple Thing".
