Julian Laxton

Julian Laxton was a South African guitarist with a career spanning back to the sixties. He made a name for himself in bands like [a=Mel, Mel & Julian], the experimental and psychedelic [a=Freedom's Children], [a=Hawk (37)], and his own Julian Laxton Band. Other than being a prolific producer and engineer for artists like Rabbitt, Stingray, [a=Margaret Singana], [a=Mango Groove], and [a=Lucky Dube], Mr. Laxton also kept the bill collectors at bay by scoring many film/TV themes, jingles, and playing on the live circuit in Johannesburg. He passed away on 9. September 2023.
