Jon Pertwee

British actor and voice artist, born July 7, 1919, in Chelsea, London, England, UK, died May 20, 1996, in Timber Lake, Connecticut, USA. He had a long career in radio, stage and film comedy. His best known role was as the third incarnation of the "Doctor" in the TV series Doctor Who (1970-4). Brother of [a=Michael Pertwee]. Father of [a=Sean Pertwee]. He was married to Jean Marsh from 1955 to 1960 (divorced).
