Jmpz

JMPZ is a French dub/rock/industrial music band from Mâcon, Saône-et-Loire. Formed in 1996, it consisted of two basses, drums and a didgeridoo. The group broke up in 2012. In 2001, the band released its first studio album, Cyclothymique. The album was re-released in June 2004. A second studio album, Subsonic, was released the same year. After two albums and extensive touring (over 550 shows), the band parted company with its singer-didgeridoo, admitting a new member - Zalem Delarbre. In 2005, the band took to the stage in the groove tent at the Garorock festival, alongside several other French bands, including Svinkels. A third album was recorded in summer 2007, and released in early 2008 under the title Sound Asylum. With this album, and the participation of Reuno from Lofofora, the band ventured into heavy metal. The album's final track, My World, features the vocals of Charles Manson. In 2012, the band goes on a farewell tour after 16 years. It played its final concert on March 3, 2012 at the Cave à Musique in Mâcon.
